Jonas Haeg.

I'm a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Stockholm Centre for the Ethics of War and Peace, based in the Department of Philosophy at Stockholm University. As part of this, I'm also the current editor of the Public Ethics blog.

From January 2027, I'll be a Leverhulme Early Career Fellow at the Warwick Law School with my project Doing Right by Wrongdoers.

My research asks how institutions and individuals should prevent, punish, and repair wrongdoing and injustice, in particular as it relates to the ethics of self-defence, compensation, and punishment.

I got my PhD in Philosophy from King's College London in 2023. Before that, I obtained a BPhil in Philosophy from the University of Oxford and a BA in Philosophy from King's College London.

My partner, Romy Eskens, is also a philosopher!
